Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman has been ranked as one of the top 29 winter sun destinations for 2025, according to the UK-based newspaper 'The Sunday Times'.


The ranking highlights Oman’s pleasant winter climate, with an average temperature of around 23°C, along with its diverse natural beauty, rich history, and authentic Arabian hospitality.


The newspaper praised Oman’s unique attractions, positioning it as an ideal getaway for those looking to escape the winter chill.


It also spotlighted the country’s diverse tourism offerings, catering to both adventure seekers and relaxation enthusiasts.


The report highlights some key attractions in Oman, mainly, Musandam’s crystal-clear waters, which provide a perfect setting for diving and boat tours.


Meanwhile, the sand dunes of al Sharqiyah Sands (Remal al Sharqiyah) offer visitors the chance to experience camel trekking and traditional desert camping, immersing themselves in Oman’s cultural heritage.


The report also highlighted the breathtaking landscapes of al Jabal al Akhdar in al Dakhiliyah Governorate, a haven for those seeking tranquility.
