ABU DHABI: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Chief of Staff of the Sultan's Armed Forces, participated in the opening of the International Defence Exhibition 'IDEX 2025' and the Naval Defence Exhibition 'NAVDEX 2025' in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The Sultanate of Oman’s delegation participating in the opening of the two exhibitions was headed by Vice Admiral Abdullah bin Khamis al Raisi, Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF).
The delegation toured the exhibitions' sections and pavilions, and were briefed on the latest military technologies, systems and defence industries. The conference delved into crucial defence topics, with the first session focusing on ‘Global Disruptions and Defence Preparedness', specifically addressing threats to vital supply chains. The second session explored ‘Disinformation and Influence Operations: Using Information as a Weapon in Modern Conflicts', while the third session examined the theme ‘The Sky is No Longer the Limit: Emerging Threats and Opportunities in Space'. - ONA
