MUSCAT: The office of HH Sayyid Bilarab bin Haitham al Said, Honorary President of the 'Programme of Promising Omani Startups' is organising the Architecture Revival Initiative at Oman Across Ages Museum in the Wilayat of Manah, from February 19 to 22.

The Architecture Revival Initiative comes as a continuation of the journey initiated by the Bilarab bin Haitham Award for Architectural Design in its first and second sessions and the Oman Pavilion Design Competition at Expo Japan 2025, in enriching the architectural field in the Sultanate of Oman. The initiative targets people involved in architectural design including specialists, experts and students.

The initiative also aims to raise awareness of the value of architecture as a component of national identity and motivate society to explore Omani architecture and understand its cultural, social and economic impact and highlight innovation in architecture by reviewing the methods used by Omanis throughout different eras and encouraging their use in a way that enhances architectural heritage and presents successful models that combine innovation with heritage.

The initiative also aims to engage different society segments in debate about architecture and provide a conducive environment for creativity and leadership. Another significant objective of the initiative is creating opportunities for architectural cadres in the Omani labour market.

Over the course of three days, the initiative will discuss three main axes that serve the architectural field and revive it in the Sultanate of Oman.

The axes are continuing education, innovation and market readiness. Those interested in the field of architectural design will be able to attend and benefit from the activities of the Architecture Revival Initiative starting on Thursday.
