Oman is actively working towards a comprehensive welfare system, guided by Vision 2040. The country is continuously improving its educational, healthcare, housing, and economic systems through modern legislation, technological advancements, and strategic partnerships. A key part of this vision is the social protection system, which aims to reduce financial burdens on families, address the rising cost of living, and provide opportunities for economic and social mobility.
Social protection plays a crucial role in fostering community solidarity. It enhances social security, strengthens trust among citizens, and promotes positive citizenship. By supporting household incomes, encouraging self-employment, and creating new avenues for work and productivity, the welfare system not only improves individual lives but also contributes to national stability and development.
Oman’s approach to welfare extends beyond providing essential services. The government prioritises public safety, enacting laws to protect citizens and ensure a secure environment. Security is fundamental to development, and by implementing effective legislation, the state reinforces the safety and well-being of its people.
