MUSCAT: Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali al Harthy, Under-Secretary of the Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs, held talks on Wednesday with Carl Sacco, Deputy Executive Director-General and Director of Operations at the World Food Programme (WFP).


During the meeting, both sides explored ways to strengthen the partnership between the Sultanate of Oman and the UN food assistance agency. Carl Sacco commended Oman’s active involvement in regional affairs and acknowledged its vital support in delivering aid to nations afflicted by conflict and war while Shaikh Khalifa conveyed his appreciation for the WFP’s efforts in aiding vulnerable populations in Gaza, Yemen, and Syria. — ONA
