On Friday, it was clear to partly cloudy skies over Musandam governorate parts of the Oman Sea coastal areas, and parts of the Al Hajar mountains with chances for isolated rain, said the Met Office. It has been mainly clear skies over the rest of the governorates with high clouds advection.


According to the weather forecast, there are chances for low clouds or fog batches during the late night and early morning hours over parts of the coastal areas of the Oman Sea and parts of Al Wusta, Dhofar, South Al Sharqiya, Al Dakhiliyah, Al Buraimi, and Al Dhahirah governorates.


In addition, there are chances for dust to rise over the deserts and open areas, resulting in a reduction in horizontal visibility.


Reduction in horizontal visibility is also expected due to fog formation.


Over most of the governorates, winds will be easterly-southeasterly, light to moderate, and occasionally fresh.


Over the Oman Sea and the desert areas, it is expected to be moderate along the Oman Sea and Musandam coasts with maximum wave height of 2.0 meters, while the sea condition is reported to be slight to moderate along the Arabian Sea coastal areas with a maximum wave height of1.5 meters.


The highest temperature recorded has been in Samail with 29 degrees Celsius, and the lowest is in Jabal Shams with a maximum temperature of 11 degrees Celsius.
