

Suhar: The Sultanate of Oman and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Thursday signed a number of strategic agreements in the Wilayat of Suhar, Al Batinah North Governorate, to support the shared railway network project. The pacts include a long-term commercial agreement signed by Hafeet Rail with Emsteel to transport and export raw materials from the Sultanate of Oman to the United Arab Emirates. Further, two main contracts were signed with Larsen & Toubro (L&T) and PowerChina to design and build railway facilities in the Sultanate of Oman. The second contract was signed with China Railway Construction Corporation Limited (CRCC) to supply a fleet of freight wagons. — ONA
