Muscat: Dr Kavitha Ramakrishna is a name synonymous with the seamless fusion of Indian and Omani culture. A true cultural ambassador, she has dedicated her life to sharing India’s rich traditions through her expertise in Tanjore painting, authorship, and yoga.


Based in Oman, Dr Kavitha has become a beacon of inspiration, playing a pivotal role in transforming the lives of Omani women through the power of art and wellness. Her work bridges two vibrant cultures, fostering a deep appreciation for heritage while promoting personal growth and well-being.


However, Dr Kavitha’s impact extends far beyond the canvas. As a distinguished yoga mentor, she has profoundly influenced the lives of over 150 students in Oman, predominantly among local Omani women.


An accomplished exponent of Tanjore painting, Dr Kavitha has introduced Oman to this ancient Indian art form, offering a glimpse into its spiritual and artistic depth. Her exquisite works serve as both a tribute to tradition and a source of inspiration for aspiring artists, particularly among Omani women who have embraced the craft under her mentorship.


However, Dr Kavitha’s impact extends far beyond the canvas. As a distinguished yoga mentor, she has profoundly influenced the lives of over 150 students in Oman, predominantly among local Omani women. Through her insightful guidance, she has introduced them to the life-changing benefits of yoga, with a special focus on Surya Namaskars (sun salutations) and meditation practices. Her teachings have empowered women to reclaim their well-being, fostering physical strength, emotional resilience, and mental clarity.
