

Muscat: Recently five artists from the North Indian state of Uttarakhand performed in Muscat.
The cultural evening is hosted by the Indian Social Club’s Uttaranchal Wing as part of its 19th year of existence. The evening began with beautiful Pahadi hymns of singer and composer Saurav Maithani, who also came up with peppy numbers like Meri pyari Nirmala, Dhol-Damo ki thaap and Main Pahadon ka Rahivasi, etc. It was soon followed by a series of songs by Meghna Chandra a prominent singer from the region. .
Inder Arya presented the songs that have been creating new records.
Pradeep Kumar, First Secretary and Head of Chancery at the Embassy of India in Oman was Chief Guest of the event, while Babu Rajendran, chairman of the Indian Social Club- Oman was the Guest of Honor.
Govind Negi, Convener of the Uttaranchal wing, described the contribution of the wing and thanked all the artists, the members, and all the sponsors for their generous support.
