Muscat: The latest weather maps and numerical models indicate that parts of Oman are likely to be affected by a low-pressure system on Sunday and Monday, February 2-3, according to the Oman Meteorology Office.

Forecasters said this system will bring cloud formation and scattered rainfall, particularly over Musandam and North al Batinah governorates, as well as some coastal areas along the Sea of Oman.

Furthermore, there is a possibility of cloud development over parts of the al Hajar Mountains, with chances of scattered showers.

In addition, weather experts note that the system will be accompanied by fog formation over mountain peaks, a noticeable drop in temperatures, sea level rise, and occasional fresh winds.

The Civil Aviation Authority advises residents to stay informed through official channels for the latest weather updates.
