CAIRO: The Sultanate of Oman's pavilion, guest of honour at the 56th Cairo International Book Fair, has seen a tremendous turnout on its second day, especially from young people, Egyptian and Arab writers, and novelists. The fair, which runs until February 5 at the New Cairo Exhibition Grounds, is a significant platform for cultural exchange.
The pavilion has attracted notable visitors, including Dr Ahmed Fouad Hanno, the Egyptian Minister of Culture, and Ernesto Villegas, the Venezuelan Minister of Culture. Visitors have praised the exhibits, particularly the historical volumes and Omani publications, for their role in showcasing Omani culture.
The Omani Writers and Literati Association is displaying literary works by prominent Omani authors, which reflect the richness and diversity of Omani culture. The Cultural Club’s pavilion also features a range of publications that represent a cross-section of intellectual and literary fields, highlighting the unique blend of ideas in Omani literature. — ONA
