MUSCAT: The Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) continues the annual Sea Lion naval exercise (Sea Lion 1/2025), taking place across multiple regions including the Al Batinah Marine Region and the Southern Marine Region. The exercise, supported by the Royal Army of Oman, the Royal Air Force of Oman and the Royal Oman Police Aviation, is a demonstration of Oman’s naval preparedness and capabilities. Participating ships and crews have set sail from the Said bin Sultan Naval Base, engaging in various naval operations designed to test and refine military tactics and coordination. The exercise is part of ongoing efforts to enhance Oman’s defence readiness and strengthen maritime security. — ONA
