MUSCAT: Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidy, Foreign Minister, received on Monday Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council of the United Arab Emirates. Sayyid Badr underscored the depth of the fraternal and historic relations between Oman and the UAE. These relations, he added are based on close cooperation and joint coordination across various fields. The two sides reviewed ways to enhance the partnership between the two countries, underlining the importance of exchanging legislative expertise to promote integration and advance bilateral cooperation. They also exchanged views on several regional and international issues of common interest.


The guest lauded the role of Oman in promoting regional and international peace efforts. He also reaffirmed the UAE’s keenness to strengthening cooperation between the two countries in line with the shared aspirations. The meeting was attended by several officials from both sides. — ONA
