HM's Accession marked with grand maritime parade

The governorate of Muscat organised a maritime parade to mark the anniversary of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik's accession to the throne.


The event was inaugurated by Sayyid Saud bin Hilal al Busaidy, Governor of Muscat. The parade commenced from the Wilayat of Muscat, passed through the Wilayat of Muttrah and the Wilayat of Bausher and concluded in the Wilayat of Al Seeb.


The parade, organised in cooperation with the United Boats Company, aimed to showcase Muscat's tourist attractions and natural landscapes, including its serene coasts, mountainous terrain and urban development. over 400 participants took part in the maritime parade in 69 boats, yachts and jet skis. The 40-kilometre-long parade featured traditional folk arts, patriotic songs and the raising of the Omani flag and pictures of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik. Wakeboarding and flyboarding adding fun to the vibrant celebration.
