Duqm Airport marks six years of operations

Muscat: The Duqm Airport celebrated the sixth anniversary of its official opening on Tuesday.


In the 11 months of 2024, the airport handled 55,545 passengers from 570 flights.


Currently, two national airlines, Oman Air and SalamAir, operate flights from Duqm.


Duqm Airport has contributed to the development journey of the Special Economic Zone at Duqm (SEZAD) in Al Wusta Governorate, and is one of the five regional airports in the country, besides Muscat International Airport and Salalah Airport.


Duqm Airport is located 14 km from Duqm city and can accommodate a half million passengers.


Duqm Airport can handle the parking of even the Airbus A380.
