Seeb secured a significant win against Ahli Sidab with a score of 83-44 in the final stage of the Oman Basketball League for the 2024-2025 season. The match took place at the secondary hall of Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher. With this victory, Seeb earned two points, while Ahli Sidab settled for one point.
The game was marked by intensity and speed, particularly from Seeb, who dominated all four quarters. Seeb’s players shone in scoring, led by professional player Romeo Wilfred, alongside Marwan al Hadidi, Mazen al Hadidi, Rashid al Wahaibi and Nooh al Amri.
Seeb started the game with power and speed, with Mazen al Hadidi opening the scoring with a precise two-pointer, followed by successful attempts from Romeo Wilfred to widen the lead.
Despite Ahli Sidab’s efforts, especially from Jaylen Key, Seeb’s defence remained solid, ending the first quarter with a 16-10 lead.
In the second quarter, Ahli Sidab attempted to narrow the gap as Sami al Ghilani scored two points, igniting his team’s enthusiasm. However, Seeb responded quickly with consecutive points from Romeo Wilfred and Mazen al Hadidi, gradually increasing their lead. While Khalid al Hashemi and Abdulaziz al Balushi scored four points for Ahli Sidab, Seeb continued to capitalise on their opportunities, finishing the first half comfortably ahead at 34-21.
The third quarter witnessed Seeb’s continued dominance, opening with a brilliant three-pointer by Mazen al Hadidi, followed by two quick points from Rashid al Wahaibi. Ahli Sidab responded with a beautiful three-pointer from Ahmed al Jahwari in an attempt to reduce the deficit. However, Seeb maintained control of the game with effective offensive and defensive organisation, concluding the third quarter with a 58-36 lead.
Entering the final quarter, Seeb displayed even greater determination to secure a large margin of victory. Abdulrahman al Shoaibi and Rashid al Wahaibi added four early points, extending the lead to 62-36. Both teams continued their attempts, with Ahli Sidab trying to capitalise on counterattacks. However, Seeb maintained their dominance thanks to teamwork and player coordination, ultimately sealing an impressive 83-44 win.
The match was officiated by international referee Ahmed al Balushi as the first referee, international referee Rashid al Mushayfari as the second referee and Mazen al Hilali as the third referee. The table officials included Juma al Hinai, Hafedh Oulad Ahmed, and Moosa al Siyabi, with Eng Younis al Zadjali serving as the match’s technical supervisor.
