Muscat: Registration for the third edition of “Together We Progress” Forum, scheduled to be held on February 26—27, 2025, began on Wednesday.

The forum is organised by the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers every year in compliance with the Royal directives of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to establish channels of communication with members of society through open dialogue.

The forum seeks to enhance citizens’ role and ensure their participation in formulating visions and future strategies. Effective communication between the government and society provides an opportunity to address challenges and keep pace with citizens’ aspirations and enable them to express their opinions and support development policies and programmes.

The forum also helps outline the government’s approaches and priorities in each stage and enlighten members of the society about its policies, programmes and initiatives in full transparency.

On the first day of the forum, two discussion panels will be held. The morning session will discuss salient features of the 11thFive-Year Plan, as well as efforts to promote economic diversification and explore the future of energy, digital economy and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, Oman National Spatial Strategy, investment and its role in developing the national economy, in-country value (ICV) and entrepreneurship.

The evening session will focus on the development of governorates and their role in boosting economic growth.

The second day includes three dialogue sessions that address the future of employment, the system of retirement and matters related to culture, sports and youth.

The first and second editions of the forum, held at Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre, saw a turnout of more than 2,400 participants from different governorates of the Sultanate of Oman.
