International media meet Ministers of Oman

Muscat: More than 70 editors in chief, senior editors, journalists and reporters representing various newspapers, radio and television channels are in the Sultanate of Oman currently to attend the celebration of the Accession Day, on January 11th.


The event organised by the Ministry of Information for the journalists at the W, introduced them to Oman’s features. Three ministers interacted with the international media, Minister of Heritage and Tourism, Salem Al Mahrouqi started the session by introducing the tourism potential of Oman, followed by Minister of Social Development, Dr Laila bint Ahmed Al Najjar introduced the social security initiatives in place in the country and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sayyid Badr Al Busaidy explained the foreign policies of Oman.


The journalists thanked for the invitation and asked questions on various areas such as ways to improve the Arab situation, and regional disputes.


The sessions will continue on Thursday as well.
