MUSCAT: The Royal Academy of Management (RAM) has celebrated the graduation of a new cohort of participants from the prestigious National Leadership Programme for the Development of Middle Management in Oman’s Private Sector, "Etimad". This milestone underscores the Academy’s commitment to advancing leadership capabilities in the private sector, aligning with Oman Vision 2040 and the strategic directives of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, who places high importance on cultivating national leaders capable of driving future growth.
The programme highlights the Academy's efforts to enhance the skills of middle management leaders, contributing to excellence in performance and the achievement of institutional goals efficiently and effectively. It also aims to establish dynamic management teams capable of adapting to market dynamics, future expectations and rapid changes, by leveraging national and international experts who provide best global practices. Spanning seven months, the programme engaged 201 participants, including employees and entrepreneurs from the private sector. It featured four specialised learning modules: residency-based leadership immersion, strategic thinking, financial data analysis and innovation in change management. Supplementary interactive workshops focused on digital marketing and negotiation strategies, alongside remote learning, simulation exercises and leadership engagements, offering participants a holistic and transformative educational experience.
Sharing his experience as a participant, Sayyid Hamoud bin Nasr al Busaidy said: "The Etimad Programme has been a pivotal milestone in my professional journey, significantly helping me to improve and refine my leadership skills. I have always sought to develop myself in financial aspects, and I found the third unit of the programme to be rich with information on financial and investment accounts. This material was a turning point for me, providing essential knowledge for any entrepreneur aspiring to expand and succeed." He added: "One of the most enjoyable experiences in the programme was the interactive workshops, which combined analysis and fun, creating a unique competitive environment. The educational content covered various skills, most notably leadership, innovation, accounting and change management." Dr Sulaiman al Hasani from the Global College of Engineering and Technology said: "It is a great honour to join the Etimad Programme, which represented a pivotal turning point in my personal and professional journey. Despite initial hesitation due to work pressures, I later realised that the programme was meticulously designed to keep pace with contemporary challenges, equipping participants with leadership skills to face technological and economic transformations."
Dr Al Hasani also emphasised the distinctive outcomes and integrated structure of the programme, which seamlessly blended academic learning with practical application. He praised the diversity of participants for enriching discussions and inspiring an environment conducive to innovation and creativity.
