

AL MUSANNAH: As part of its efforts to enhance the skills of Omani youth and empower them to enter the labour market with confidence and competence, the University of Technology and Applied Sciences in Al Musannah, concluded a series of workshops on CV writing, personal interviews and IQ tests for students and graduates. These workshops were delivered by Eng Ismail al Shukaili, talent acquisition specialist at Petroleum Development Oman (PDO). The sessions lasted for six days during November and December 2024, targeting more than 180 students, graduates and on-the-job trainees.
The workshops provided practical tips on writing professional CV to effectively enhance participants' skills and experiences. They also emphasised preparation for personal interviews by offering strategies to boost self-confidence and help candidates stand out to potential employers.
Notably, this series of workshops received high praise from participants, who considered them as valuable opportunities to improve their employment prospects. The interactive sessions with Eng Ismail al Shukaili allowed participants to ask questions and receive personalised advice to enhance the practical benefits of the workshops.
Such initiatives reflect the university’s and PDO’s commitment to supporting the local community and developing young talent, as well as contributing to building a brighter future for Omani youth. The university aspires to continue these efforts in the future which will open new horizons and support the ambitions of Omani youth.
