Muscat: President Aleksandr Lukashenko of the Republic of Belarus was accorded an official reception at Al Alam Palace on Sunday, on the occasion of his visit to the Sultanate of Oman.
Before the arrival of the motorcade of the President at Al Alam Palace, a squadron of cavalry lined the two sides of the road heading to the gate of the palace.
Upon the arrival at the courtyard of the palace, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik received the Belarusian President, welcoming him as a dear guest in the Sultanate of Oman. His Majesty wished him and his accompanying delegation a pleasant stay and a successful visit.
After that, His Majesty the Sultan accompanied the President to the Dais of Honour where the national anthem of the Republic of Belarus was played, while the artillery fired a 21-gun salute for the guest.
Then, His Majesty the Sultan shook hands with members of the official delegation accompanying the President of Belarus. On his turn, the guest shook hands with some members of the Royal Family, ministers and military commanders.
