RIYADH: The Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Saudi Arabia, under the auspices of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al Saud, Deputy Governor of Riyadh Region, hosted a grand reception to mark the 54th Glorious National Day. The event was attended by HH Sayyid Faisal bin Turki al Said, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, along with members of the embassy.


In his speech, the ambassador highlighted the long-standing fraternal relations between Oman and Saudi Arabia, noting the cooperation across various sectors. He reaffirmed Oman’s unwavering stance in supporting the Palestinian people in securing their rights under international law, calling for an immediate cessation of the conflict in Gaza and advocating for a peaceful and just resolution.


He also emphasised Oman's ongoing role in promoting peace, stability and global cooperation. The event featured a video showcasing Oman’s cultural heritage, alongside an exhibition of Omani companies operating in Saudi Arabia, offering an insight into the country’s rich traditions, such as frankincense, Omani sweets and incense. The celebration was attended by numerous dignitaries, officials and members of the diplomatic corps.

BRASILIA: The Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Brazil, led by Talal bin Sulaiman al Rahbi, Oman's Ambassador to the Federative Republic of Brazil, hosted a reception to commemorate Oman’s Glorious National Day.


In his address, the ambassador reflected on Oman’s remarkable achievements since the start of its Renaissance in 1970 under the leadership of the late His Majesty Sultan Qaboos, continuing under the guidance of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik. He also underscored Oman’s foreign policy, rooted in dialogue and tolerance, and reiterated the country’s commitment to peace in the Middle East, particularly advocating for a ceasefire in Gaza.


A highlight of the evening was the celebration of 50 years of diplomatic relations between Oman and Brazil, which have seen significant strides in trade and strategic cooperation. Attendees included prominent Brazilian officials such as Minister of Defence José Mosio Filho and several Federal Representatives, alongside diplomats and business leaders. - ONA
