RUSTAQ: The Directorate-General of Social Development in Al Batinah South Governorate organised the ‘Family Creativity Forum (For an Inspiring Family)’ at Rustaq Public Park. The three-day event brought together over 50 productive families from the governorate’s wilayats to showcase their craft and entrepreneurial efforts.
The forum included an exhibition, cultural and recreational activities and competitions for families and children. A heritage village displayed local crafts, with performances by folk art teams and magic shows.
The event emphasised the role of family empowerment in driving economic and social development and highlighted the participation of the Al Wafa Centre for the Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities in the Wilayat of Al Rustaq. Maimounah bint Salim Al Manthariyah, Director-General of Social Development in the governorate, affirmed that the forum’s aim was to market family-produced goods and promote the integration of people with disabilities into the community.
