

LONDON: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Information (MoI), handed over two awards during its participation in the annual awards ceremony of the Foreign Press Association (Press Oscars) which was held in the British capital, London, on Tuesday.
The first award was dedicated to the category of Best Travel and Tourism Story of the Year and the second award was for the category of Best TV and Radio Story of the Year.
The move underscores the Sultanate of Oman’s commitment to supporting global media. The awards were handed over to the winners by Badr bin Mohammed al Mantheri, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
A special space was dedicated to promoting the rich heritage and culture of the Sultanate of Oman as well as a short documentary and a special corner showcasing Omani crafts designs that reflect the Omani culture and heritage.
The ceremony was attended by a number of media professionals, artists and intellectuals and diplomats from the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in London. — ONA
