Muscat: The State Council Office held its first meeting for the second regular session of the eighth term, under the chairmanship of Shaikh Abdulmalik bin Abdullah al Khalili, Chairman of the State Council, on Monday.
The office discussed the study submitted by the ad-hoc committee tasked with studying the contents of the Royal address of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik at the opening of the first regular session of the eighth term of the Council of Oman.
In addition, the office reviewed the letter submitted by Majlis Ash’shura regarding the desire to form a joint committee from the State Council and Majlis Ash’shura to consider the proposal to amend the Law of the Council of Oman promulgated by Royal Decree No 2021/7.
The office also reviewed a number of proposals submitted by the members regarding a number of topics related to the council’s work.
Also discussed at the meeting were the agenda for the second meeting of the second regular session of the eighth term.
