MUSCAT: The Sultanate of Oman, through its Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), has launched the National Inspectors Course and On-the-Job Training for Quality Control, drawing participants from various neighbouring and friendly nations. Running until November 14, the course aims to strengthen airport security monitoring by focusing on core security principles and practical inspection methods.

Participants will engage in hands-on training, including field visits, guided by the standards of the ICAO Global Aviation Security Audit Programme. This initiative is organised by the ICAO Regional Office in partnership with the ICAO headquarters and the Cooperative Aviation Security Programme in the Middle East.

By hosting this programme, Oman’s CAA seeks to raise the level of aviation security, enhance safety measures, and foster international collaboration, all while aligning with global standards. — ONA
