Nizwa: The Middle East and North Africa Region Entrepreneurship Conference kicked off on Wednesday in the University of Nizwa.
The event is organised by the university in cooperation with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (ASMED), Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), the University of Technology and Applied Sciences in Ibri and the Royal University for Women of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The opening ceremony was held under the auspices of Dr Said bin Mohammed al Saqri, Minister of Economy.
As many as 80 researchers and specialists in the field of entrepreneurship and innovation from 20 countries are taking part in the activities of the conference, in addition to entrepreneurs from Oman.
The conference discusses a spectrum of topics, such as the future of entrepreneurship in the Middle East and North Africa region, entrepreneurial experiments of participating countries and the importance of research in supporting entrepreneurship, among other topics. — ONA
