Muscat: Acting in cooperation with the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, Otaxi has signed a partnership agreement with ITCHA Group and Yango Group to enhance the transport services in Oman.

The agreement seeks to upgrade digital infrastructure and provide sustainable taxi services.

ITCHA Group and Yango Group will make significant investments to develop Otaxi business ecosystem, opening up new vistas for growth in the local taxi business in the region.

This agreement provides for parcel delivery service alongside passenger transport. Express delivery service will be available on the Otaxi app. This will speed up the delivery of orders from stores and restaurants and will ease the dispatch of gifts and personal parcels. The service also enables users to access retail, e-commerce and logistics platforms and re-manage delivery operations across various corporate categories, including small and medium enterprises (SME).

Yango Group announced plans to launch Yango Super App in the Sultanate of Oman in the near future phase. The application will facilitate access to Otaxi trips and streamline delivery services for all residents and tourists arriving into the Sultanate of Oman from abroad.
