OQEP's public offering subscribed 2.4 times

Muscat: The Financial Services Authority (FSA) has approved the allocation ratios for OQ Exploration and Production (QQEP) Company shares after the subscription witnessed the coverage of the volume of offered shares by 2.4 times, with a total share amounting to approximately RO1.814 billion after calculating the share value at 390 baisas.


The volume of shares collected is about 4.820 billion shares, while the shares offered for public subscription were two billion shares, which reflects the confidence of local and foreign investors in the issuing company and the Omani capital market.


It also approved allocating a minimum of 8,000 shares + 23 percent for small individual investors, 32.6 percent of the subscribed shares for major investors, and 29.8 percent for the institutional category.
