Muscat: While South Sharqiya has been receiving rain, the Oman Met Office stated today’s weather would be partly cloudy over the governorates of South Al Sharqiya, Al Wusta, and Dhofar, with varied intensity rainfall occasionally thundershowers.

The Wilayat of Al Ashkhara, Jalan Bani Bu Ali, received rains, and the Ras Al Khaba area in the Wilayat of Jalan Bani Bu Ali was one of the places that has become a scenic attraction. The Wilayat of Masirah is witnessing moderate to heavy rains, which has caused the wadis to overflow.

Advection of rainy clouds is expected over the governorates of North Al Sharqiya, Muscat, Al Dakhiliyah, Al Dhahirah, South Al Batinah, North Al Batinah, and Al Buraimi with isolated rain, occasionally thundershowers.

Earlier in the morning, satellite images showed the extension of rain clouds over the coastal areas of the South Al Sharqiyah and Al Wusta governorates, with chances of the rain expanding in the coming hours.

The effect of rain cells continues from Sur to Duqm, and the most active cells are between Mahout and Duqm, and the approach of extended thunderstorm activity between Sur and Masirah, and the beginning of monitoring cells off Sur Quriyat.
