Muscat: India’s largest carrier IndiGo Airlines (6E) faced bomb threats on two separate flights departing from Mumbai (BOM) on Monday, triggering immediate security responses.

Flight 6E1275 to Muscat (MCT), Oman, and Flight 6E56 to Jeddah (JED), Saudi Arabia received threats, prompting authorities to implement emergency protocols, local media reported.

Both aircraft were swiftly moved to isolated bays at Mumbai airport. Security personnel initiated mandatory checks following standard operating procedures to ensure passenger and crew safety.

The IndiGo spokesperson confirmed the execution of these security measures.

This incident follows a threat received for an Indigo flight between two South Indian cities.
