'Mountain lynx', joint Omani-Pakistani military drill begins

JABAL AKHDAR: The joint Oman-Pakistan military exercise, Washaq Al Jabal 1 or Mountain Lynx 1, began on Sunday at the military training area in Al Jabal Al Akhdhar. The drill is carried out by the Royal Army of Oman (RAO), units from the army of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and the Royal Air Force of Oman (Rafo). The drill, which runs until October 21, includes a range of military obstacles and joint training activities. Moreover, the drill aims to sustain the combat and operational preparedness of RAO personnel, as well as exchange expertise with friendly countries. The activities of the exercise were attended by several senior officers from both sides. — ONA
