

MUSCAT: Dr Mohammed bin Nasser al Zaabi, Secretary-General at the Ministry of Defence, on Tuesday received in his office at Muaskar Al Murtafaa Vice Admiral Edward Ahlgren, Senior Adviser to the British Ministry of Defence for Middle East Affairs, and his accompanying military delegation.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views and discussed a number of matters of common interest.
The meeting was attended by Brigadier Ahmed bin Ibrahim Ambusaidi, Director-General of International Cooperation at the Ministry of Defence. It was also attended by a number of senior SAF officers and the Military Attaché of the British Embassy in Muscat.
Also, Vice Admiral Abdullah bin Khamis bin Abdullah al Raisi, Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces, also received in his office at Muaskar Al Murtafaa Vice Admiral Edward Ahlgren, Senior Adviser to the British Ministry of Defence for Middle East Affairs, and his accompanying military delegation.
During this meeting, the two sides discussed several military matters of common interest.
The meeting was attended by Brigadier Hamed bin Abdullah al Balushi, SAF Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations and Planning, a number of senior COSAF officers and the Military Attaché of the British Embassy in Muscat.
Meanwhile, Vice Admiral Edward Ahlgren and his accompanying military delegation on Tuesday visited the National Defence College (NDC).
Upon their arrival at the centre, the guests were greeted by Rear Admiral Ali bin Abdullah al Shidi, Commandant of the National Defence College (NDC).
Members of the visiting delegation were briefed on the college's facilities and its strategic curricula, which focuses on preparing national competencies capable of taking strategic decisions at various levels. They also toured the NDC's departments and various halls. - ONA
