SEOUL: Major General Matar bin Salim Al Balushi, Commander of the Royal Army of Oman (RAO), met with General Koh Hyun-suk, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Korean Army, during the Korean Defence Exhibition (KADEX 2024) in Seoul. This high-level meeting explored several military topics of mutual interest, including cooperation in defense technologies and training programs, as well as bolstering bilateral relations in military strategy and logistics.


The meeting was seen as part of Oman's ongoing efforts to enhance its defence capabilities and ensure the security and stability of the region. Both sides expressed a keen interest in continued collaboration and the exchange of expertise, especially in emerging military technologies and joint exercises. The delegation accompanying Major General Al Balushi and senior officers of the Korean Army were present to witness the discussions. KADEX 2024, a major international defence exhibition, highlights cutting-edge military technologies and serves as a platform for global defence cooperation, furthering Oman’s strategic alliances. - ONA
