Muscat, SEPT 29

The Oman Tennis Association (OTA) has selected three players to represent the Oman national under-14 tennis team in the Third Asian Junior Championship in Doha, Qatar, from September 28 to October 5.

Mutaz al Mazrouei, ranked sixth in the tournament, Abdulrahman al Rahbi, ranked tenth, and Azzan al Busaidy are aiming to reach the main rounds of the championship. The team is coached by Sofiane Doub, and the team manager is Faisal al Balushi.

The team has prepared well for this championship following an intensive training programme in France. The camp provided a valuable opportunity to develop the players' technical skills. Additionally, they participated in the recent Arab Championship in Tunisia, which helped enhance their performance.

OTA continues its efforts to secure regional, continental and international participation for its players, aiming to ensure improvements in international rankings. Each season, a comprehensive programme is prepared, including tournaments, training camps, weekly training sessions and local competitions for various age groups to further enhance the players' performance.
