Muscat, Salalah airports feted at World Customer Service Summit

MUSCAT: Oman Airports celebrated a national achievement as Muscat International Airport and Salalah Airport were honoured at the 2023 World Customer Service Summit, which brought together the global airport sector under one roof in Atlanta, USA.


This recognition comes as a result of the two airports receiving several prestigious awards for customer experience in 2023, acknowledging the significant efforts made in the Sultanate of Oman to enhance the quality of services provided to passengers.


Muscat International Airport received the award for Best Airport in the Middle East for Airports Serving 5 to 15 million passengers annually and the award for Best Airport in the Middle East for Quality of Services.


Additionally, the airport earned distinguished global recognition for its unprecedented achievement of winning multiple awards over five consecutive years under the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) programme, joining the ranks of elite global airports to receive this prestigious honor.


Salalah Airport was also recognised with several awards, including Best Airport in the Middle East, in the Category of Airports Serving Less than 2 Million Passengers, Best Airport Staff in the Middle East Across All Categories, Most Seamless Airport Procedures in the Middle East, Most Enjoyable Airport in the Middle East, and Cleanest Airport in the Middle East Across All Categories.


The awards were presented during a ceremony held on the sidelines of the World Customer Service Summit hosted in Atlanta, Georgia, US. This achievement reflects Oman Airports' efforts to align with the enablers of Oman Vision 2040, which emphasises innovation and sustainability across all sectors, including aviation.
