WASHINGTON: Republican Donald Trump leads among likely voters in the battleground states of Arizona, Georgia and North Carolina, outpacing US Vice-President Kamala Harris six weeks before the November 5 presidential election, a New York Times/Siena College poll showed.
The three states are among seven critical swing states that are likely to decide the 2024 presidential contest between Trump and Harris, a former prosecutor who would be the first woman US president.
The former president faces federal and state criminal charges over efforts to overturn the election results. The poll indicates a tight matchup in line with other recent national polls. — Reuters
