Salalah - The first activities of Marhaba Dhofar, organized by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, will kick off on Monday, with the wide participation of tourism sector partners in the Sultanate of Oman and their counterparts from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The event will continue for several days and will attract 40 Saudi tourism companies and 13 media professionals from the most prominent media institutions in the Kingdom.

The first activities include field trips to the main tourist attractions, including the picturesque beaches of Salalah, the green mountains of Dhofar, and heritage and archaeological sites that reflect the depth of Omani civilization and the roots of Omani history.

The Marhaba Dhofar event aims to enhance tourism cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and promote the unique tourism features of the Dhofar Governorate, including the “Sarb” season and winter tourism.

The event will include discussion sessions and bilateral business meetings between Omani and Saudi tourism companies, to exchange experiences and explore opportunities for cooperation in developing the tourism sector.
