Muscat: Oman Meteorology has warned of high sea waves on most of the coasts of the Sultanate of Oman, measuring between 3 to 5 meters.

High tidal waves were reported by visitors to the Muttrah Waterfront in Muscat on Sunday. The Royal Oman Police has restricted movement in the area as a precautionary measure.

It urged everyone to take precautions and avoid going to the sea and engaging in marine activities.

The state of the sea will be moderate in coastal areas around the Sea of Oman while it will be rough on those facing the Arabian Sea, especially the South al Sharqiyah and Al Wusta.
