MUSCAT: Ghusn Alzaytun, meaning Olive Branch, held a three-day event at Rozna Hall, organised by Dar Al Atta in collaboration with Al Roya Newspaper and the Lawatiya community in Oman.
The event aims to raise awareness about Palestine, its history, and to provide financial support for the cause.
“The objective of this event is to educate society about Palestine, its history, and how to support them financially,” said Hannan Al Muscati, Marketing and Event Manager. She added, "Many people are unsure how to support Palestine, so this event also focuses on nurturing the mindset of children through games and arts that subtly teach them about Palestine and its history."
The event features a wide array of products ranging from fruits, spices, herbs, and food to clothing, art, and crafts. A special art exhibition showcased various artists’ interpretations of the situation in Palestine, adding a powerful visual element to the cause.
The evenings were enriched with talks from renowned speakers who provided deeper insights into the Palestinian crisis. Additionally, one booth educated visitors on how to boycott products to support Palestine, while another offered alternative products available in the market. A group of artists came together to create stickers and bags, with proceeds going towards the Palestinian cause. The event concluded on Saturday, leaving a lasting impact on the community and fostering continued support for Palestine.
