

Bodies of the four expatriates who died in a crash with a truck in Haima on Monday, will be repatriated to their hometown, according to the Civil Defence and Ambulances Authority (CDAA).
The four deceased in the fatal accident which happened a few kilometres away from Salalah and 50 kilometres of Haima, were identified as expatriates from Indian state of Karnataka who were on their way back from visiting the khareef.
Adishesh Basavaraj, Pawan Kumar who were from Devadurga, Raichur, Karnataka, and Pooja Mayappa and Vijaya Mayappa, natives of Tegahala were charred beyond recognition in the deadly accident.
CDAA said that the car in which they were travelling in crashed into a trailer and caught fire.
Adishesh was a resident of Nizwa while the other three were visiting Oman on a visiting visa.
Necessary documentation for the repatriation of the bodies which are kept at Haima Hospital Mortuary, are fast progressing and will be sent to their hometowns at the earliest.
The CDAA urged motorists to apply caution and be alert while driving on two-way traffic roads and to take necessary rest especially driving at night.
"Never drive while one is tired or sleepy and to be alert while driving especially on single carriageway. Also, prefer day time to drive long- destinations to safeguard oneself as well as the lives of others," the spokesperson from CDAA said.
