Muscat: Muscat Municipality has again sought proposals from experienced firms or consulting teams to prepare a master plan for Muscat Festival Ground (MFG).

It may be noted that the municipality floated the tender for the same project in the recent past.

The scope of the work will include the preparation of tender documents to design and develop a regional entertainment attraction center that can accommodate the needs of Muscat, its surroundings, and the entire region.

The development should be able to generate sufficient income to sustain its operations as well as be an economic catalyst for its surrounding areas.

The masterplan should include an analysis of the highest and best use of the plot, taking into consideration surrounding developments, and social, and other benefits to the community.

The plan should align with Oman's 2040 vision and incorporate the 2050 target for net-zero emissions.

The last date to receive the tender document is September 10 while the priced bid will open on November 11.

Muscat Municipality has been working on developing a permanent venue to organize annual festivals and events.
