Muscat: Environmental Science will be added to the Ministry of Education's (MOE curricula for the next academic year to help students with concepts and knowledge related to environmental sciences, and instill correct behavioral values and principles towards the environment.
The subjects will be taught for the 11th grade from the 2024-2025 academic year, and the 12th grade from the 2025-2026 academic year.
The curriculum is included in the list of elective subjects and will include Introduction to Environmental Management, Environmental Research and Data Collection, Interactions in Marine Ecosystems, classification, and Biodiversity,
Supplementary contents in the second chapter are already under study to determine appropriate educational outcomes.
