

MUSCAT: The Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Nepal held the first round of political consultations at the Foreign Ministry in Muscat.
The Omani side was chaired by Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali al Harthy, Under-Secretary of the Foreign Ministry for Diplomatic Affairs, whilst the Nepalese side was chaired by Seva Lamsal, Foreign Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The consultations reviewed the existing bilateral relations between the two countries. They also affirmed the keenness of both sides to continue promoting cooperation in various spheres. The consultations also discussed a range of regional and international issues of common interest.
The session of consultations was attended by Dornath Aryal, Ambassador of the Republic of Nepal to the Sultanate of Oman and Dr Mohammed bin Ali al Balushi, Acting Deputy Head of Asia and Pacific Department. — ONA
