Dhofar Governorate is witnessing significant Khareef tourism, which has contributed to an increase in passenger traffic at Salalah Airport by 11 percent since the start of the 2024 season, compared to the same period in 2023

Zakaria bin Yaqoub Al Harrasi, Vice President of Salalah Airport, said that passenger traffic through the airport will continue to increase in line with the events and activities taking place in Dhofar Governorate during this season.

Ten airlines are operating direct flights from 18 destinations to Salalah during Khareef 2024.

Oman Airports, in cooperation with its strategic partners, launched a new, exceptional, free service for all visitors to Dhofar Governorate via Salalah Airport.

The "Travel Easier" service consists of providing a dedicated hall to complete travel procedures next to the airport's air cargo building.

It aims to receive bags from passengers and deliver boarding passes 12 hours maximum to 6 hours minimum before departure time.

It includes all airlines operating via Salalah Airport.

The service is available between 8 am and 8 pm.
