Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman’s Foreign Ministry has issued a statement applauding the recent meeting of Palestinian factions in the People’s Republic of China and the subsequent signing of the “Beijing Declaration.”

The Ministry emphasized the crucial need for Palestinian unity, advocating for the empowerment of Palestinians through all political and diplomatic channels to end the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories. The statement highlighted Oman’s support for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

"This aligns with the aspirations of the Palestinian people for freedom and peace and the relevant resolutions of international legitimacy," the statement affirmed.
