SALALAH: Ain Hamran is a spectacular spring surrounded by lush greenery, dense trees and majestic caves. It is located some 17 km away from the Wilayat, the spring provides drinking water for livestock as well as irrigation water for nearby orchards. Varied trees spread over the spring forming a stunning view making it one of the most visited tourist sites in the Wilayat of Salalah with tourists frequenting the area all around the year but with an increased tourist number in the fall season.


Springs flow forming scenic views and unique beauty making it a suitable place for tourists seeking tranquility and peace of mind while enjoying the picturesque views and fine weather of Ain Hamran.


Around Ain Hamran you can see a lot of trees including Sidr, fig, and coconut trees. In bygone eras, the spring was used for irrigating farms across the Hamran plain where residents used to grow corn, sugar cane, sweet potatoes and other crops.


During the rainy season, there are well-known places at the top of the valley in Ain Hamran from which springs of water flow for several weeks unlike the other springs. — ONA
