MUSCAT: Dr Mohammed bin Nasser al Za'abi, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Defence, on Monday visited the sites of two military exercises carried out by institutions of the Academy for Strategic and Defence Studies.
The first visit was made to the site of a strategic exercise code-named 'Decision Making 11', carried out by participants in the 11th course at the National Defence College.
The second visit was made to the site of an annual military exercise titled 'Al Hazm', being implemented by participants in the 37th course at the Joint Command and Staff College.
At the two visits, Dr Mohammed bin Nasser Al Za'abi was accompanied by Maj Gen Hamid bin Ahmed Sakroon, Chairman of the Academy for Strategic and Defence Studies, and a number of senior officers. Al Za'abi and his accompanying senior officers listened to briefings about the objectives of the two exercises and their role in preparing the participants to deal with complex situations. — ONA
