Oman reviews strategy in green hydrogen sector

AMSTERDAM: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Energy and Minerals, participated in the hydrogen symposium, which was held in the Dutch city of Amsterdam.


In his speech during the symposium, Eng Salem bin Nasser Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals, reviewed the strategy of the Sultanate of Oman in the green hydrogen sector and the important steps it has taken to build a competitive and sustainable hydrogen economy, stressing the importance of strengthening international cooperation to develop trade corridors for hydrogen and its derivatives.


The delegation of the Sultanate of Oman participating in the symposium held multiple meetings, including the Port of Amsterdam and some companies operating in the hydrogen transportation and consumption sector, to enhance the partnership between the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the energy and logistics sectors related to the transportation of liquid hydrogen. — ONA
