

The Ain Darbat (Darbat spring), located to the east of the Wilayat of Taqah on the main road leading to the Wilayat of Mirbat is known for its picturesque sceneries, pristine nature and lush forests. Cactus jujube and coconut trees can be seen upon descending into the valley.
Ain Darbat is one of the best-known water springs of Dhofar Governorate. Its waterfalls keep flowing for several months providing large quantities of water and replenishing groundwater reserves in the governorate.
Wadi Darbat is a huge natural garden interspersed with waterfalls, lakes, mountains and caves with fossilised limestone deposits in the ceilings and floors.
Besides, it has various types of wildlife and green plains. In autumn, a waterfall is formed in the valley that reaches a height of about 100 metres on a beautiful and quiet mountain slope that flows towards the north.
Visitors and tourists can have a look at Darbat Falls from the main road when it is flowing and when the water level rises in Darbat valley, the spring bursts especially in the occasion of heavy downpours — ONA.
